Panel 1:Damn, those are some fine curtains Ms. Williams has hanging in her office. Fine curtains. I wish my office had such nice curtains. Heck, I wish my office had curtains at all. If it did, I could lower them and no one would be able to see me dozing off as I try to think of something witty to say about this utterly mundane panel.

Even when the jackelrod is right, it is wrong! The bird is clearly a female Downy Woodpecker
ReplyDeleteThe coloring, the markings, the talking ass - all of that is spot-on. But woodpeckers never grasp small branches and hang upside down like that - they are designed to use the tail as a support against the trunk or large branch of a tree so they can hammer into the wood and find their insect food. This woodpecker's tail is speaking well but clearly just hanging out in the air.
Hmmm... Downy Woodpecker you say? I'll reassess my comment accordingly.
